From Dangen Entertainment:
Deck of Haunts, the sinister deckbuilding roguelike where players become a malevolent haunted house, will launch for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on October 8, 2026.
Since its original PC release in May 2025, Deck of Haunts has undergone a remarkable transformation. More than a year of content updates, new systems and community-driven improvements have dramatically expanded the game, introducing new game modes, dozens of new cards, additional rooms and creatures, a mission and story system, new ways to build and customize decks, major changes to mansion construction and human navigation, and much more. The result is a substantially expanded version of the original PC release.
Among the major additions coming standard with the console release are:
- A Huge Selection of New Cards and Rooms - The post-launch updates introduced dozens of additional cards and numerous new rooms, greatly expanding the possibilities for constructing both your deck and your haunted domain.
- New Starter Decks and Creative Deck building - Experiment with specialized playstyles or assemble a custom starting deck from cards you've unlocked.
- Missions, Story and Meta-Progression - Complete an extensive series of missions to unlock cards, rooms, upgrades, cosmetics, gameplay modifiers and new pieces of lore surrounding the House and its creatures.
- Expanded Room-Building and Human Navigation - Room size now plays a major strategic role in how humans traverse the mansion, making the architecture of the house itself more important than ever.
- Nightmare Mode and the Grim Reaper - Face 13 escalating Nightmares of 13 nights each, with accumulating modifiers and new threats, while collecting the souls of your victims to summon the Grim Reaper and unleash Death upon unfortunate visitors.
- Creatures - Unleash supernatural inhabitants including the Imp, Gravetender, Webweaver, Drowner, Bloodletter and Krampus to terrorize humans alongside you.
- Curated Scenarios - Take on specially designed challenges offering entirely different haunted-house setups and situations.
- More Quality-of-Life Features and Controller Improvements - Numerous interface, building, sorting, navigation and controller systems have been refined through more than a year of updates and player feedback.
Seasonal updates also expanded the mansion with horrors such as the Pumpkin Patch, where stored attacks can be unleashed on unsuspecting visitors, and the Workshop, home to Krampus, who can turn the corpses of your victims into presents for the House.
What began as Deck of Haunts in May 2025 has grown into a considerably larger strategy roguelike, and console players will step directly into this expanded version when the doors open on October 8.
