- The Most Balanced Gameplay Yet: Players of all skill levels will benefit from offensive weapons like step-through up-and-unders, a Dynamic Layup Engine, and Expanded Dribbling Customization while defensive stoppers on the other end will experience a redesigned hands-up defense, an overhauled shot contest system, expanded defensive cutoffs, and a new collision system.
Level Up In MyTEAM With Player XP And an Expanded Exchange:
- Expanded Exchange: In NBA 2K27 MyTEAM, The Exchange now accepts any Player Card in a collection giving players the ability to maximize every card in their lineup.
- Player XP: An all-new Player XP system gives every Player Card new ways to level up and unlock rewards across MyTEAM.
- More MyTEAM Updates: Rotating multiplayer modes, a unified Auction House, new Player Card Parallels, expanded Breakout progression, and more give players new ways to build, play, and upgrade their dream NBA & WNBA lineup.
Decisions Define Destiny in MyNBA:
- Back to Basics: NBA 2K27's MyNBA mission is simple: deliver an improved, core franchise experience by refining foundational elements of the mode, giving players the power to put their vision into action, including realistic CBA contract negotiations and a brand-new GM Trust system.
- 100-Year Legacy Mode: With the foundation locked in, the team added an all-new player-focused RPG experience: MyNBA Legacy, an all-new, single-player mode that lets users run the front office and dominate on the court as the same locked player, across a franchise window expanded to 100 years.

- Redesigned Environments: The City comes alive after dark with reimagined environments, Rucker Park in Street Kings, Casual Corner, Daily Rivals, Player Medals and 40 REP tiers at launch.
"Fire & Concrete" MyCAREER:
- MyCAREER Eras: For the first time in MyCAREER, players can build their career across one of five historical eras, from the Magic vs. Bird Era (1984) to the Steph Era (2016).
- "Fire & Concrete": An expansive new cinematic story spans 11 chapters, over double the length of last year’s story that features rapper and actor Vince Staples.
- Co-Op MyCAREER: For the first time ever, players can invite a friend to play co-op directly in their MyCAREER via Running Mate Trace Miller.
