The revamped main story covers Chapters 1–5 of Act 1, originally released at the game's official launch. The updated story significantly expands the game's world-building and deepens the narratives of its characters, delivering a richer and more immersive experience. Rather than simply revising the text, the entire story has been fully re-recorded with voice acting to better convey the updated details and the emotional depth of each character.
The update also introduces the new Combatant Fei and her partner Ruixiang. Originally released ahead of launch in the Chinese version, Fei quickly became a fan favorite and is now available in the Korean and global versions. A Void-attribute Ranger, Fei specializes in accumulating “Descent” stacks whenever an ally draws a card, enabling her to unleash the powerful attack card “Heavensfall.” Her unique effect, “Flame Arts,” also allows her to chain extra attacks. Players can also experience Fei’s Trauma Code story, newly added alongside her debut, to uncover the hidden story of her past.
The update also expands “Sortie,” Chaos Zero Nightmare’s original roguelike mode, with several new gameplay systems. A new Hardcore Mode Ranking has been added, allowing players to view the Top 100 players. The update also introduces the “Engagement Data” system, where players can complete Combatant-specific missions to earn exclusive “Titles.” In addition, “Decisive Battle: Chaos Core,” has been added to the “Depths” of Sortie. Players who meet certain conditions during battles in the Depths can enter the encounter and earn additional rewards upon victory.
Two new “Core” items have also been added, allowing players to modify their acquired Save Data. One of them, the “Core of Mutation,” enables the “Mutation” feature, which adds a variety of additional effects to Save Data, such as increased damage.
To celebrate the update, Smilegate is also hosting a variety of in-game events, including the “Monsters’ Arena” event, where players battle using Monster Cards to earn rewards, as well as a special check-in event offering additional rewards. The company also plans to reveal details about the upcoming new season of Galactic Disaster through its community content series, Galactic News Network, and an upcoming preview.
