Risk reality and join Bandai Namco at Anime Expo 2026 for a special preview of Echoes of Aincrad, the latest game in the SWORD ART ONLINE franchise, ahead of its July 10 launch. Game Producer Yosuke Futami will welcome players to the game alongside special guests Masami Niwa, producer of the SAO anime series, and Bryce Papenbrook, the English voice of Kirito. Attendees will receive exclusive giveaways and be among the first to see a teaser for the new anime, Unanswered//butterfly.
The panel, “Bandai Namco Presents: Echoes from Aincrad an Unanswered//butterfly U.S. First Look Preview,” takes place Thursday, July 2 at 12:30 PM in the JW Diamond at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles.
Echoes of Aincrad is a breathtaking new action RPG set in the SWORD ART ONLINE universe. Developed by Game Studio Inc., the game introduces a series first, putting players in the role of protagonist. Players become a character they create to enter a VRMMORPG, where they ultimately discover perishing in the virtual world of the game means dying in the real world. They must escape to survive, fighting alongside partners who help them in combat, including popular characters from the franchise.
