Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora rises From the Ashes

Dateline: 12/19/2025

The From the Ashes DLC expansion for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was released today.

From Ubisoft:

From the Ashes follows So’lek, a battle‑hardened Na’vi warrior whose path collides with a fearsome warband of Mangkwan raiders, otherwise known as the Ash Clan. Their arrival signals a clear break from the clans players have known, and a decisive turn toward Na’vi-versus-Na’vi conflict.

Years before these events, So’lek clashed with Wukula, the Mangkwan warrior, in a brutal encounter that left Wukula scarred and vengeful, a history that now fuels their escalating rivalry. The warband’s ranks also include Zari, a deadly sniper trained by Recom Lyle Wainfleet. Blind in one eye yet lethal with human weaponry and RDA gear, she stalks So’lek from the shadows, intent on surpassing her brother Wukula.

From the Ashes introduces bold new gameplay experiences that elevate both combat and exploration. For the first time in the franchise, players will engage in Na’vi-versus-Na’vi battles, facing Mangkwan raiders whose unique fighting styles demand tactical precision and adaptability. Each encounter is designed to reveal personality through combat, from Wukula’s relentless pursuit to Zari’s lethal long-distance sniping, and even Rakx’s aerial combat on where she rains terror from the skies on her ikran. To match these threats, the expansion adds new RDA units, including hellhounds, Skel suits, and specialized AMP suit variants for RPG, sniper, and shotgun warfare, creating dynamic challenges across ground and aerial combat. Combined with enhanced traversal and the option to switch between first and third-person perspectives, these additions deliver the most visceral and intense gameplay yet on Pandora.

Major Tyler Bukowski of RDA Sec-Ops, first introduced in Avatar: The Gap Year — Tipping Point, emerges as a commanding presence, coordinating the RDA–Ash Clan movement into the Western Frontier to root out the Resistance, with particular focus on the Sarentu and So’lek.

From the Ashes is raw and personal,” said Omar Bouali, Creative Director at Massive Entertainment. “It puts So’lek face-to-face with enemies who know his history and how to exploit it, while giving players the broader combat variety they’ve been asking for.”

“This expansion advances Pandora’s mythology in bold ways,” said Joshua Izzo, EVP, Franchise Development, Lightstorm Entertainment. “It invites fans to experience the Ash Clan’s rise and its impact across the Western Frontier. We’re excited for Avatar fans to experience untold stories through new interactive adventures after watching Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters.”

The expansion is available as a standalone purchase or as part of the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - From the Ashes Edition, which includes the base game, the expansion and bonus content. Players can already enjoy a major free Title Update for the main game of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which launched on December 5. This Third Person update introduced two of the most requested features from the community: New Game+ and a long-awaited third-person view, offering a fresh perspective and replayability of the main game for fans eager to experience Pandora in new ways.
