From Blizzard Entertainment:
The Season 11 PTR introduces permanent changes to core systems such as itemization, monster combat, and progression systems. This is all setting the stage for many major updates for the evolution of Diablo IV moving forward. Unique to Season 11 will be the addition of new Divine Power Infusion through Sanctification and the return of all of Diablo’s iconic Lesser Evils, led by the one and only Azmodan in a bid to take over Sanctuary.
Some key features available in the PTR include:
- Lesser Evils Invade Sanctuary: Azmodan makes his Diablo IV debut as a new World Boss and Duriel, Belial, Andariel return with unique mechanics across different game modes:
- Azmodan appears as a new World Boss and can be summoned via Beacons.
- Duriel corrupts Helltide with parasitic maggots and new summoning mechanics.
- Belial manipulates The Pit with illusions, Eyes of Belial, and boss replacements.
- Andariel haunts the Kurast Undercity with time-draining Shades and dungeon affixes.
- Sanctification – Infusion of Divine Strength: Sanctification is your opportunity to take the ascendant power of the Angels and imbue that into your items applying bonus legendary powers, adding bonus affixes, and more.
- Itemization Overhaul – Tempering & Masterworking: Players now have more control over item upgrades. Tempering allows selection of specific affixes via recipes, while Masterworking increases item quality.
- Monster Combat Evolved: Enemies have been redesigned for smarter, more tactical behavior. Monsters now have clearer roles, improved affix variety, and more dynamic combat responses.
- The Tower and Leaderboards (BETA) – Timed Dungeon Challenge: This will be a BETA version of these features that will be updated over future seasons. The Tower is a new multi-floor dungeon built around the revamped monster combat system. Players have 10 minutes to complete randomized floors, defeat a final boss, and earn placement on the Leaderboards.
