Exploring Silvernia on the back of a silver flying horse at Anime Expo 2026.

Elementa Games brought their upcoming game to Anime Expo 2026, hosting a booth full of game demo stations, professional cosplayers, and an amazing statue of a silver Pegasus.

The entire booth was dedicated to the upcoming game Silver Palace. It’s an action-RPG set in a unique fantasy world. The look of the game’s world is Victorian England with 1930s tech and tech aesthetics. Think gentlemen in top hats and ladies in fine flowing dresses driving large, rounded cars. But there’s also a healthy dose of fantasy injected into Silver Palace – I rode a silver Pegasus through the air above the city while catching a glimpse of a giant airship that was part zeppelin and part living blue whale, and the boss waiting at the end of the demo was straight out of a story book. The game’s world is rendered in Unreal Engine 5 and takes full advantage of its power - its setting of Silvernia is gorgeous, especially when viewed from the air. The developers obviously put a lot of work into creating a vibrant and atmospheric world as everything from building interiors to the city streets to the towering buildings has a distinctive and ornate look that makes Silvernia a truly unique place to explore.

Welcome to Silvernia

Your role in the game is that of a ‘Detective’, investigating both crimes and the conspiracies arising from the syndicates, corporations, and cults vying for control of the city and its miracle element of power, Siverium. The demo didn’t convey much story before you found yourself witnessing the sequence of events that leads to the first boss fight.

Your character, Detective Munin, is about to be knighted by the city’s queen when suddenly an assassin appears. Munin stops the assassination, of course, and does it in style as her arm transforms into a weapon that she uses to stop the assassin cold – powered by Siverium, perhaps? Things soon get even stranger when the Silverium flows from her arm and opens a portal from which a giant angelic woman emerges and floats above the room. Soon, a second giant woman appears, this one looking decidedly demonic. And thus begins the demo’s first boss fight in which you must fight two supernatural beings who are also locked in a fight with each other.

Boss fight!

One of the interesting gameplay mechanics is that it is like a tag team fighter in action-RPG form. There are three other characters available in addition to Munin, at least in the demo, and you can switch between them as the battle progresses. Each character has their own skillset, so picking the right character at the right moment in battle is important to success. Some characters specialize in melee attacks and others ranged, and some a combination of the two. Each character also has an ultimate attack, although these take a little time to charge before they can be unleashed.

Kudos to Elementa Games for providing a demo with a pretty amazing boss fight and not ending things there. After the fight, players were given some time to explore Silvernia and take in its beauty. Traversing the city was fun – it was a bit like crossing a city in an Assassin’s Creed game mixed with soaring over blocks on the back of a silver winged horse. Silver Empire looks like it will be one of those games in which you can lose hours simply touring its world.

The only way to fly

After some exploring and a few minor fights, I made my way to the objective marking the demo’s final boss fight. This was a battle within an arena against none other than Cinderella, and she brought her wheels with her. This Cinderella was no Disney princess, and the carriage looked like it was given an overhaul by Mad Max. This boss fight required keeping as mobile as possible, as Cinderella’s carriage is armed with guns to attack from a distance and flamethrowers that can burn you to a crisp if she doesn’t quite manage to hit you when attempting to run you down. This fight took some work, to be honest it had me down to my last character, but it was definitely a fun challenge.

I played a good number of games at Anime Expo, and Silver Palace managed to stand out among them. Not to knock the other games, but Silver Palace was the one that I was thinking about the most after the expo and I’m definitely looking forward to the chance to play more of the game in the future.
